Students arrive at 8:30 am and head straight for the kitchen to prepare a nutritious breakfast from scratch (fresh scones with jam they made with berries from the garden, yogurt parfaits with homemade granola, homemade pancakes).
Students tend the garden and orchard before preparing a nutritious lunch (pizzas with homemade dough, sauce and toppings from the garden, hand-rolled sushi, garden quesadillas and fresh garden salads). Returning students are welcome!
This student focused summer program is a partnership between the Auburn Child Nutrition Services Department and WSU King County Extension Food$ense educators.
