Attention all girls interested in playing girls basketball, there will be a pre-season meeting Wednesday October 29 at 2:50 in Coach Price’s Room 241.  Come learn about preseason conditioning, the regular season schedule, and everything else that goes along with basketball.  We have a brand new coaching staff so even if you haven’t played lately we look forward to coaching all girls interested in helping rebuild this proud 2 time state champion program.

All boys basketball players, there will be an important pre-season basketball meeting after school on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in room 321.  You need to attend this meeting if you plan on turning out for basketball this season.  See Coach Hansen if you have any questions.

National Honor Society members, remember to bring in items to Mrs. Harmon for the auction basket by Monday. Running start members who are interested in joining National Honor Society but are unable to make it to the regular lunch meetings are invited to meet with officers on Saturdays at 11AM at the Auburn public library starting on Nov 8.

Tickets for the homecoming dance can be purchased at the bookkeeper for $12.50 w/ASB, or $15 without, or $20 at the door.  Make your plans for the “Night under the Stars”. Tickets are $20 each at the door so don’t wait!

Our homecoming football game is TONIGHT against Auburn Mountainview! Let's show up and support our team. Get your neon green t-shirt in the DECA Store for just $5.00. Let's glow out the stands and show Mountainview what pride and tradition is!

Auburn DECA is collecting packaged tooth brushes for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Collection starts on Monday 10/20 through Friday 10/31. Please bring donations to room #130 or the DECA Retail Store during lunch.

Tutoring is available!  Students who need some extra help in any subject can come to the Library on PLC Mondays.  There will be tutors available to help you from 8-9AM.

After the first week of our “We Scare Hunger” campaign Mr. Grenz’s 2nd period class is currently in the lead. In just one week have raised over $180 and over 50lbs of food. You have till October 31st to bring in nonperishable foods and toiletry items. Let’s show the Auburn Community what Auburn High can do!

Drama club members have discount passes to the “Shadows Haunted House” at South Center. You  save $10.00 at the gate on admission for 2 people. You can go to www.shadowshaunt.com for details about the haunted house and you can get your passes from Mr. Kerr in room 501 while supplies last. This is a fundraising project of the Auburn Actors’ Guild --- your AHS drama club!

It is almost here!  It is what you have been waiting for!  Save a copy of the first yearbook made in this school for yourself.  Bring sixty bucks on Monday. How many times in your life are you going to be in a book?

Seniors,  if you want to submit your own photo for the yearbook instead of the photo taken for your ID it must be submitted to Mr. Kaup or uploaded on the website provided by Herff Jones by Friday, November 7. Questions or directions? Please ask Mr. Kaup or a Trojan Journalism student.

Seniors, Jostens will be here on Wed, Oct 29 during lunches to pick up your graduation orders. They will also be here in the evening from 5:30-7:00 to pick up orders in the commons.

Hey Trojans-could you use extra time to get homework or projects finished? Starting Monday, Nov 3rd there is a new club-FINAO (fi-nay-oh), happening every day after school in Café Auburn. What is FINAO, you ask? FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION! This homework club will meet every day from 2:45-3:45pm and comes with a free snack. No homework? Come anyway-bring a book or help a friend. Student tutors will also be available to help. See Mrs. Kilga if you would like to volunteer or have any questions.
