Dr. Kip Herren has enjoyed working in the field of education for 35 years, with 31 of those years dedicated to the Auburn School District. He has been an Auburn High School teacher, coach, dean of students, assistant principal and principal. He also served the district as an associate and deputy superintendent for 12 years. He is in his second year as superintendent of the Auburn School District.
Kip has been active in a number of civic organizations including service as president of Auburn Rotary, president of the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and president of the Auburn Valley YMCA. He also teaches finance and educational policy at the University of Washington-Tacoma and serves on the University of Washington’s Professional Educator Administrator Board.
Kip and his wife, Julie, have three grown children who live in Auburn and four grandchildren who are the center of their lives.
Kip is dedicated to the students of the Auburn School District, knowing they are the future of the community and world.
