There are no perquisites for the beginning drawing class, however advanced drawing requires you to take beginning drawing. In the beginning drawing class, you not only learn how to draw with a pencil, but you also learn how to draw with computers and use that knowledge to create different images. Mr.
Carson teaches you the valuable technique to apply variables, such as perspectives.
You will learn the difference between 1 and 2 point perspective and
how it can change the entire picture. Perspectives can make your
picture !!!
Blind contour is also applied in this intense class. If you think drawing while looking at your paper is hard, wait until you try drawing it blind. (That means drawing while looking at an object, but not looking at your paper.) Did you know that you see negative and postive space all the time? Negative space is the area around the object you are looking at. Positive space is the object itself. Sometimes, it is even reversed. When you are looking at the space around an object, that is the positive space, which makes the object the negative space. These
are just a few of the activities this
class offers. Remember, this class is only a semester long!!!
