Green House Operation
| The greenhouse at AHS is a 30X80 foot qounset style greenhouse located next to the classroom. In the greenhouse students grow a wide variety of indoor tropical plants and seasonal crops such as poinsettias, bedding plants, and flowering baskets. Classroom instruction covers plant biology, plant identification, plant reproduction, plant propation, soils pest management, fertilization and general plant care and maintenance. Students also partnership with the City of Auburn Parks Department to propagate ground covers that will be planted around the city. |
