The Computer Technician Contract STudy (CTCS) program keeps the technology of Auburn High School up and running. The students function as interns with Kenny White, the Technology Coordinator, to keep the AHS Local Area Network (LAN) functioning efficiently. The CTCS Interns assist everyone from the Principle to students. We run a help desk and information center where our customers call and drop by for questions and answers. Students also go directly to staff members, or classroom to provide direct assistance with both hardware and software assistance. As well as maintaining both school servers and user accounts. CTCS interns often work directly with adults in a one-to-one setting. It is quite often a roll reversal where the student intern becomes the instructor and the teacher becomes the student. For this reason good interpersonal skills are required and will be continued to work on throughout the course. This program provides real life troubleshooting and customer service with software and hardware problems.
