Monday is a celebration of Martin Luther King’s birthday so there will NOT be any school.  We spent Friday learning about MLK’s life and making pictures of him.

The children here in our class  come from so many different cultures and backgrounds that we are always celebrating our differences and the ways we are alike. We are thankful that MLK’s dream has come to pass.

Next week…

Monday– no school

Friday- ‘Inside-out Day

            Wear your clothes in-

                  Side out

It’s never to early to see what the goal is so you can help your child at home...By the end of the year it is preferable that your child has mastered all their ABC’s (uppercase and lowercase), all the sounds, recognize numbers to 31, and  read the Kindergarten vocabulary words.  Many of the children are beginning to read already so I am giving them books to read to earn their Davis Dollars.

This is the most exciting time of the year  in Kindergarten because of all the learning that is going on!

Have a great 3 day weekend!!!
