Welcome to AJ Elementary.  My name is Amanda Roberson and I am the counselor.

 

WHAT DOES THE AJ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR DO?

· Individual and/or small group counseling with students of all ages.

· Classroom guidance lessons on various topics.

· Consult with teachers, parents, and outside agencies.

· Case study facilitator.

· Student supervision.

· Lunch with students.

· Visiting classrooms and recess.

· New student connections.

· WASL coordinator.

· Gifted Education coordinator.

· Parent newsletters.

· Community service projects.

I very much enjoy working in partnership with parents and teachers for the benefit for AJ students.  The program focus is academic achievement and success for each student in combination with personal enrichment and development.  If you have any questions or need assistance, please call 253-630-2441.

Fall Group Offerings!

Personally, I will not begin forming groups until later in the school year.  In the meantime, Auburn Youth Resources (AYR) is offering three Anger Management/Social Skills Groups that might be of interest to you.

 

WIGGLERS:  Group is for ages 5-6.  When:  Oct 15th-Nov 26th.

WANDERERS:  Group is for ages 7-9.  When:  Jan-Feb.

IN CHARGE OF ME:  Group for boys only ages 10-11.  When:  Oct. 16th-Nov 20th.
