Classroom Update: |
|
Math: We have completed unit 10 covering measurement, and tomorrow we will take the test. The students have been working hard on their math WASL practice.
Reading: Recently, we have been reading historical fiction, informational fiction, and non-fiction stories so the students are learning about the past and different places. WASL practice has also been a focus in reading lately.
Social Studies: After spring break we will begin a unit of study on various Native American tribes. We will learn about Pacific Coastal tribes as well as Southwest, Plains, and Northeast.
WASL: There will be no homework for the two weeks of WASL. This is so the students can rest and focus their efforts on the assessment. I do expect that students are still reading at least 20 minutes a night. If you would like to bring snacks for the class during WASL, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated! |
