Three Auburn High School Students
Earn Second Place in Regional Envirothon Competition

An Auburn High School team of students consisting of Christine Belcourt, Tina Jorgenson, and Jacqui Williams, earned Second Place in the regional  Envirothon competition held on Tuesday, April 16.  Students from the Northwest region of Washington State are eligible to compete.  The state-level competition will be held in May and the national competition is at the end of July.  In the Envirothon competition, the participating students answered questions concerning soils, aquatics/fisheries, wildlife, forestry, and an environmental issue which this year was regarding introduced species and their effect on biodiversity.  Ellen Atkinson was the AHS science teacher/advisor for this competition.
