LaWanda Cartwright Selected to Receive Prestigious
Woodring College of Education's Award for Professional Excellence

LaWanda Cartwright, Ilalko Elementary School kindergarten teacher, has been selected to receive the prestigious Woodring College of Education’s eighteenth annual Award for Professional Excellence at Western Washington University.  The program brings recognition and honor to outstanding professionals in the fields of education and human services.  Ms. Cartwright has taught in Auburn School District for twenty-one years.  She will be honored at an awards program featuring state superintendent, Dr. Terry Bergeson, in May at the Best Western Inn in Bellingham.
