Toni Lally Recognized by
Auburn School Board of Directors

On Monday, April 22, the Auburn School Board of Directors recognized Toni Lally, director of business, for her excellent leadership in the district’s business management.  Ms. Lally has worked for Auburn School District for sixteen years as the top administrator in the district’s business office.  She directs the district’s accounting, budgeting, payroll and purchasing operations.  She also administrates the preparation of the district budget and all financial reports including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  During her years of leadership, the Auburn School District business office has earned sixteen years of error-free state audits.  As the district has grown, Ms. Lally has focused on utilizing technology to increase efficiency.  “I have always determined that we should be as efficient as possible so dollars can go directly into the classrooms for students.  I try to streamline processes to eliminate redundancies,” says Ms. Lally.  Mike Newman, assistant superintendent of business operations observes, “Ms. Lally provides Auburn School District with technical expertise in the financial arena to ensure that maximum resources go to benefit children.”  Ms. Lally has a bachelors in accounting from the University of Washington and an MBA with Presidential Honors from City University.
