ARHS Student Ties for First Place in
National Spanish Exam

Auburn Riverside High School student, Mary Jorgenson, tied for first place, along with two other contestants from this state, in the National Spanish Exam hosted by the National Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).  Students who are interested in taking the national test, pay a fee for the test and then take the test at their school. The students’ scores are then sent to the local chapter coordinator who, in turn, sends them into the national organization. There are winners both nationally and in the local chapter Washington State.  Kaisa Swenddal-White is the ARHS French and Spanish teacher.
