Auburn High School Senior Recently Selected as
WAVE Scholar

Auburn High School senior, Yuri Soldatenkov, has recently been selected as a Washington Awards for Vocational Excellence (WAVE) Scholar.  Only 147 students across Washington State were accorded this recognition for the 2002-03 school year.   The recipients include 77 high school students, 20 skills center students, 10 technical college students, and 40 community college students, all representing the state’s 49 legislative districts.  WAVE recipients receive a grant that provides for two years (six quarters or four semesters) of tuition and services/activities fees at community/technical colleges, regional/research universities, accredited independent colleges or licensed private career schools in Washington State.
