Scott Allen Honored by Washington State Grange
for Community Recognition Teacher-of-the-Year Award

On Thursday, April 22, Scott Allen, Rainier Middle School band and orchestra teacher, was honored by the Washington State Grange with the Community Recognition Teacher-of-the-Year award.  The Grange is also nominating him for the Teacher-of-the-Year at the state level.  Mr. Allen was nominated by a student, Janice Knott, because of his ability to motivate students with his love of music.  He was lauded for being an energetic role model and for his encouragement of students to challenge themselves.
