Sports Medicine Teams Compete Well at 
State Sports Medicine Competition

Auburn High School sports medicine students finished Third Place as a team at the State Sports Medicine Competition held in Yakima on Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17.  The team was also named State Academic Champions with a team GPA of 3.67.  Top individual students were Aaron Pierce who placed seventh overall and is the state champion in the taping event.  Krysta Lamb placed third overall and won the top senior award in the state.  Other participants include Julia Agapov, Kara Konomos, Lauren Phillips, Anita Gould, Marsha Quick, Nicole Paquet, Megan Cook, Daniel Edwards, Marie Lucas, Sergey Manchik, Amber Slagle, Lauren Chapman, and Nicole Jensen.

The Auburn Riverside High School sports medicine team finished in the top half of the 30 schools competing. Ryan Paulson was one of four students from the entire state that won a scholarship. The following students also represented Auburn Riverside at the competition: Chelsea Crosslin, Jen Becklund, Tucker Walker, Fawn Whitehouse, Michael VanDerschelden, Brittany McIntyre, and Liz Ray.
