Auburn School Board to Recognize
Pat Tagliavia - West Auburn High School Student
On Monday, April 25, the Auburn School Board of Directors will recognize West Auburn High School student, Pat Tagliavia, for being an outstanding student. Pat has been at West Auburn since October 2002. Since that time, he has made numerous achievements. He is currently enrolled at Green River Community College through Running Start where he is taking Advanced Japanese, French 101, and History. Pat has maintained a 3.6 grade point average after completing two quarters in this college-level program. In addition, he continues to take three classes at West Auburn High School. Outside of the classroom, Pat has been responsible for organizing several successful blood drives and serves as the ASB secretary. Pat has a strong interest in computers and has become knowledgeable in several web design programs such as Flash, Photoshop, JavaScript, and HTML. He has earned his Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Excel and is the primary person responsible for the high school’s web page. Recently, he was hired by the Auburn School District as an IT intern. Advisor/teacher Larry Laush praises Pat, “He has taken advantage of many of the opportunities provided by West Auburn and the Auburn School District. His hard work and commitment to get the best education possible are to his credit.”
