Auburn Student Isaac Lomeli Awarded
United States Academy National Math Award
The United States Achievement Academy (USAA) announced that Isaac Lomeli, an Auburn Riverside High School senior, has been named a United States National Award Winner in Mathematics. Mr. Zeiger, Isaac’s teacher, nominated Isaac for the award.
The Academy selects USAA winners upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors, and upon the selection criteria set forth by the Academy. The selection criteria includes: student’s academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, attitude and cooperative spirit, and dependability.
This prestigious award honors fewer than ten percent of all American high school students. Dr. George Stevens, Founder of USAA, states, “Recognizing and supporting our youth is more important than ever before in America’s history. Certainly, USAA winners should be congratulated and appreciated for their dedication to excellence and achievement.”
