Evergreen Heights Elementary School Choir
Singing National Anthem at Mariners Game

The Evergreen Heights Elementary School Choir, conducted by John Ansotigue, will be singing the national anthem for the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field on Wednesday, May 24, at 7:05 p.m.

Mr. Ansotigue submitted an audition tape, and the Mariners selected the 50-member choir to sing the pre-game salute. The choir is made up of third, fourth and fifth graders who are spending many rehearsal hours preparing for this exciting event.

The choir will also be singing the national anthem for the Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney Stadium on Monday, May 29, at 1:35 p.m. This is the choir’s third performance at Cheney Stadium in three years. They also recently sang the national anthem for the Western Hockey League’s Seattle Thunderbirds at Key Arena.

According to Mr. Ansotigue, “These musical performances provide kids with experiences they can take with them throughout their lifetime.”
