Auburn School District to Send Three Students to the
National SkillsUSA Competition

Auburn School District students competed at the Washington State SkillsUSA Competition on April 12-14 in Tacoma. Three students qualified to represent the State of Washington at the National Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 24-30.

In the Automotive division, Jason Berg, a senior at Auburn High, captured first place in Power Equipment Technology and will be competing at Nationals.

In the Cabinetry division, Auburn High’s Kyle Gray captured first place, Devin Yuhasz second and Derek Tofstad fourth. Auburn Riverside’s Brandon Young brought home third place and Patrick Byrne ninth. Kyle plans to compete at Nationals.

In the Electronics division, Ashley Stamper won a silver medal in Electronics Technology; Justin Lee won a silver medal in Basic Electronics; and Jonathan Paik won a bronze medal in Basic Electronics. Ashley qualified for Nationals.
