Terminal Park Elementary School to Host Annual
English Language Learners Open House

On Thursday, May 15, Terminal Park Elementary School’s English Language Learner (ELL) club will host its annual Open House from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Terminal Park Elementary School gymnasium.

The event is designed to celebrate the wonderful diversity in Auburn School District and to provide vital information and education to community members who do not speak English at home. Families will enjoy games, refreshments, bingo, demonstrations and more.

Participants include the City of Auburn Diversity program and Parks, Arts and Recreation program, Washington Dental Association, Valley Regional Fire Authority, Green River Community College, YMCA, Auburn Police Department, ACAP, Washington Oral Health Department and Dr. Robert Pavalunas.

Terminal Park’s ELL club has 74 students that speak 14 different languages. Students share the richness of their first cultures with staff and students alike, which enriches the entire Terminal Park community. Terminal Park’s ELL club motto is: How many languages can you speak?
