In Loving Memory of Beau Bockmann
Timothy “Beau” Bockmann was on his way home from a friend’s house on August 2nd 2007 when his life was suddenly interrupted by a devastating accident. A speeding car ran a red light and hit him at the intersection of 214th and Sumner-Buckley Highway. He was hit by a drunk driver. He was only 19 years old.
Beau lived more in his 19 years than some do in a lifetime. His motto was “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,” and it showed in the way he pursued the things he was passionate about.
His friends at Auburn Riverside High school were drawn to him because of his charisma and his kindness to other people. He was athletic and loved sports, especially baseball. However his relationship with God came first, so when he received a letter of invitation to play college baseball at Northwest University, he turned it down because he wanted to keep the Sabbath and honor God more then he wanted to play baseball. He chose instead to attend Southern Adventist University to study Nursing and Theology, where he recently finished his first year of college with high academic marks. This summer, he and a friend intended to fulfill a long-time dream to visit as many baseball parks and MLB games as possible on their road trip back to school in Tennessee, starting with his favorite team, The Seattle Mariners.
Though he was a highly spiritual person, Beau never pushed God onto any of his friends. Instead, he felt that if he lived his life in a way that was inspiring to other’s, other people would naturally be compelled to know God for themselves.
Beau is loved and missed by his parents, Tim & Melanie Bockmann and John Thomas & Susan Bockmann- Thomas ;his brothers and sisters, Thomas, Tyson Hess, Jagger Hess, Matthew Morrison and Jheri Myers; as well as his grandparents Bud & Melba Bockmann, Jim & Ruth Smith, Rod & Lynne Scherencel, Vernon & Sylvia Thomas, and countless other family members and friends who inspired his life.
