Layer styles can make your image look more professional. To add a layer style, make sure the image you want to use is on a seperate layer in Photoshop and that there's space around the image. Then, go to layer in the drop-down menu, then layer styles, and choose from the options avialable. Adjust using the sliders and the options provided for the desired effect. The Drop Shadow can also be used on entire images as well.
