Meet the Library Staff

Sean Fullerton,
Teacher-Librarian / Technology Coordinator

I am the new librarian at Chinook this year. I taught 5th grade, 6th grade, and 8th grade math in Federal Way since 1999. I have also taught high school English for the Internet Academy. My favorite parts of teaching elementary school were talking with students about books, reading aloud, and teaching critical thinking skills throught research projects. When I switched to teaching Algebra, I really missed helping students find good books, so I decided to become a librarian.

I am also the building technology coordinator and assist teachers at Chinook to keep their computers working and use them effectively with students.

I've been at Chinook since 1993. I worked in the Title 1 program as well as the resource room until the fall of 2000 when I started working in the library.

I have a 20 year old son and a daughter who is a senior at Auburn Riverside High School. I am very involved in their lives such as watching my son race go-karts and cheering my daughter on at Elite Cheerleading competitions.

I love to read and as a kid my favorite books were Island of the Blue Dolphins and Little Women. Now, I have to say my favorite ones are the Harry Potter series.

My other interests include motorcycles, racing, and watching movies.
