The Case for a School-wide Adoption

• We need to adopt a school wide search engine and directory to use

• Easier to teach
  Only one syntax for students to learn

• Continuity across grade levels
  Students can help younger (or older!) brothers and sisters at home, cross grade assistance at school

• Can change as technology changes
  Re-evaluate each year and decide if they needs to be changed

• Must be filtered

• Search Engines: AOL@School, AskJeeves Kids, Google Safe Search
  Directories: KidsClick!, Yahooligans!

• Why not to use AskJeeves Kids

• Suggest: AOL@School as search engine and Yahooligans as web directory
