Ms. Knowles class will visit http://www.congressforkids.net/cartoonintro.htm and http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/body/brain_noSW.html Fourth graders are visiting the Washington State History museum soon. To prepare, visit: WA State on FactMonster. Mr. Fullerton will introduce some Library classes to Dance Mat Typing and/or FunBrain.com math arcade Mrs. Hentschell's class may be visiting: www.projectpuffin.org, www.animalcorner.co.uk,or www.google.com/Top/Kids_and_Teens/School_Time/ Some classes will be using the CultureGrams database to research countries for their country reports. Access is available from within the Auburn School District, or from home with a user name and password. Please e-mail call or e-mail the librarian, Mr. Fullerton, if you require a password for home access. Students in third grade classes will be researching
countries for their country reports. They will visit the following sites: Country Flags: Classes will be studying Ancient Egypt using the Ancient Egypt webquest. Mr. Robinson's students will be exploring what is a hero by looking at the Carnegie Hero Award website. Fifth grade students will be exploring the U.S. Constitution at the U.S. Constitution Center. Second grade classes will be Digging for Dinosaurs in the computer lab. Third grade students will be answering astronomy questions from a webquest. Students in second grade will be looking at the Zoom School's Mexico theme page. Fifth grade students will be reading about Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. at the following three web sites: Martin Luther King Online: http://www.mlkonline.net/ The Seattle Times MLK site: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/mlk/ Students in first and second grades will be translating words and phrases from English to Spanish using the Bablefish translator. Fourth and fifth grade classes will be learning about the Dewey Decimal System by visiting the Do We Know Dewey webquest. Students in fifth grade classes will be researching colonial occupations. They will visit the Colonial Williamsburg Website to find out information about various jobs.
