Olympic Middle School Presented with
$2,000 from Wells Fargo Bank for Support in
Improvement of Student Reading Skills

On Monday, December 17, Wells Fargo Bank manager – Auburn Way North Branch, Terri LaRock-Stewart, presented a gift of $2,000 to Auburn School District for the improvement of student reading skills.  Superintendent Linda Cowan and Rainier Middle School special education teacher and Olympic Middle School principal intern, Shelley Warner, accepted the funds which Ms. Warner had applied for through Wells Fargo’s educational grant process. 

Ms. La-Rock Stewart said, “These funds will support reading improvement which is a strong focus for Wells Fargo.”  The grant funds will purchase Direct Instruction, corrective reading materials, for Olympic Middle School students.  This program will complement the district’s and Olympic Middle School’s focus on literacy.
