ARHS Students Will Represent Western
Region of the Country in Junior Achievement

Auburn Riverside High school students, Eli Celli, Matt Fischer, D.J. Geehan, Chris Jones, and James Rice, will represent the western region of the country after winning the regional Junior Achievement Titan competition held on Saturday, December 13.  The students will proceed on to the next regional championship competition which will be held next July at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort.  The ARHS team, Smart Azz Me Inc., competed against other teams in the Northwest.  Bruce Diehl, ARHS social studies teacher, and David Paisley, a Boeing Company volunteer, worked with the ARHS team.

Junior Achievement Titan is an internet-based program designed to demonstrate the effects of economic conditions and business decisions on companies and their industries.  The teams compete to see who makes the best decisions and the greatest profit.

Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives.
