ARHS Band Students Perform Well at Green River Music
Regional High School Band Solo & Ensemble Contest

The Auburn Riverside High School band students performed very well at the Green River Music Regional High School Band Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Enumclaw High School on Saturday, January 31.  The following students won awards:

• Alison Malsbury won the clarinet division.

• The ARHS clarinet trio won the small woodwind division (students:  Katie Cumbie, Alison Malsbury, and Theresa Tauscher).

• ARHS clarinet choir won the large woodwind division (students:  Randy Betts, Katie Cumbie, Kris Debuck, Alison Malsbury, Theresa Tauscher, and Brandy Wittenauer).

• Ian Simensen was 2nd alternate in trumpet.

• Ian Malsbury was 2nd alternate in trombone.

• ARHS brass quintet was 2nd alternate in large brass ensemble:  Jacob Ferong, Ian Malsbury, Ben Renneberg, Ian Simensen, and Mike Schroeder.
