NEWS RELEASE
"Family to School" Night Featuring
Keynote Speaker Dan Miller to be held
Thursday, February 26

Auburn School District and the Community Summit will sponsor the Family to School Night at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Thursday, February 26 at 7 p.m.  The keynote speaker will be Dan Miller, an inspirational individual who, as an educator, has led a full, accomplished life despite having been inflicted by acute polio when he was 18 years old.  Mr. Miller encourages people to take risks, persist, dream, laugh and like themselves.  He asks them to reject rejection.  He also encourages people to laugh, but never at another’s expense.  His message of “be a dream maker, a giver of courage” and his contagious humor will engage and entertain the entire family.

The Terminal Park Travelers will host a spaghetti dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the Auburn High School cafeteria adjoining the PAC lobby.  The cost will be $4 for an individual or $20 for a family.

This special evening is part of Auburn Family Week that is being celebrated in the Auburn community from February 22-28.

For more information, access www.auburnfamilyweek.org or contact Dr. Kip Herren, deputy superintendent, at (253) 931-4920.
