Auburn Riverside High School FBLA Students
Compete in Regional Competition

Auburn Riverside High School students attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Midwest Winter Regional Conference on Tuesday, February 6, at Emerald Downs. All participating chapter members won awards and qualified to attend the Washington State competition in April:

• Jackie Thompson and Dani Kuehn, 1st place, Business Ethics
• Jackie Thompson, 2nd place, FBLA Principles and Procedures
• Gina Topp, 4th place, Impromptu Speaking
• Jackie Thompson, 4th place, Java Programming
• Kambria Rosengarth, 4th place, Business Procedures

FBLA is a nonprofit educational association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. In 1937, the FBLA concept was developed by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner of Columbia University. The first high school chapter was chartered in 1942 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Washington became a state chapter in 1965.
