 Auburn School District All-Schools Food Drive Brings in
Over 65,000 Pounds of Food

From January 14-25, Auburn schools participated in the Fourth Annual All-Schools Food Drive. For 11 days, Auburn schools collected canned foods and monetary donations for families and people in need in the Auburn community. This year 65,429 pounds of food was collected, which equals 29.34 pounds of food per student, and $7,661.84 dollars were donated. One hundred percent of the food and proceeds were donated to the Auburn Food Bank.

The schools to bring in the most food at the elementary, middle and high school levels were:

Each of these three schools will receive a trophy and be recognized at the Auburn Food Bank’s annual Harvest Breakfast in the fall of 2008.
