Mt. Baker Middle School Orchestra Teacher Voted
Outstanding Music Educator of the Year

Melinda Wharton, Mt. Baker Middle School orchestra teacher, was selected as the Outstanding Music Educator of the Year for the Green River music region. This region includes: Auburn, Kent, Tahoma, White River and Enumclaw School Districts.

The honor is bestowed upon the music educator with the most votes in a certain district. Mrs. Wharton received the most votes from her fellow music educators for the Green River music region.

The award is presented annually at the 2008 Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) State Conference. This year the conference is February 15-18 in Yakima, Washington.
