Chemistry Unit Project
3-D Element Model Project
Objective:
You are to make a 3-D model of an element. You will be graded primarily on
accuracy and creativity.
Grade
Criterion: You will be graded on the
following items:
·
Correct proton number
·
Correct electron number
·
Correct neutron number
·
Presence of a nucleus including
protons and neutrons
·
Your model will be 3-D and not drawn
on paper
·
Creativity-make the model out of
something unusual/make the electrons out of something that uses the element,
such as milk carton caps for calcium (rather than foam balls)
·
Labeling: Element name and symbol
Atomic number
Number of protons,
neutrons, & electrons
Key to help
distinguish particles from each other
Your name and period
·
Neatness
Grade: 100
points-details will be in handout.
