Students will stamp the E and F using KidPix. They will then stamp things that have the same beginning sound as each letter. For example: under the letter F they might stamp a flag. |

| First | Students will listen to Widget by Lyn Rossiter McFarland, illustrated by Jim McFarland. This book is a Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award Nominee. Students will stamp the letters N through R using KidPix. They will then stamp things that have the same beginning sound as each letter. For example: under the letter N they might stamp a nose. |

| Second and Third | Students will listen to Widget by Lyn Rossiter McFarland, illustrated by Jim McFarland. This book is a Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award Nominee. Students will listen to the book being read. Using the KidPix program on the computer, stamp their own creepy pets then write why that pet is creepy. |
