Read several poems written by other students and tell which one you liked
best and why in your poetry journal.
Read about different types of poems and change the words of one to make your
own poem in your poetry journal.
Read tips about writing poetry from Jack Prelutsky and write your own poem
using your own words or one of his poem starters. You will type and print this
poem using Microsoft Word.
