EXPECTATIONS, RULES AND BEHAVIOR

Each student in Ms. Stark's class has five (5) student responsibilities.
They are:

Þ                   Listen to the teachers.

Þ                   Follow all directions.

Þ                   Work quietly in your area.

Þ                   Use an inside voice.

Þ                   Complete your work.

These responsibilities help keep every one safe and allow for a fun learning environment for all!

Consequences for misbehavior are determined individually for each student and can involve consultation with the school Counselor or Principal.

HOMEWORK POLICY

Homework in Mrs. Stark's class will be sent home in September.  At that time, it will be sent home on the first school day of the month and expected to be sent back completed with your student on the last school day of the month.
Packets will include practice activities for the skills your child has been working on in class.

Additionally, parents and students will be expected to complete a "Home Reading Weekly Report" which tracks the books you and your child read each week. Reports will be sent home with your child in their weekly homework packet.  Each student should be reading a minimum of 10 minutes each night with their parent.

It does not matter whether the book is read by the parent of the child -- every minute counts!  These sheets will need to be returned every Friday.

An example of a typical week of homework is:
