Mrs. Raines:


Hi my name is Beth Raines and I am thrilled to be teaching the 2/3 split this year!  I have been teaching for 16 years, all of them here at Dick Scobee.  Eight of those years were as a first grade teacher and the last eight have been in third grade. 
I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Education and a minor in English/Language Arts.  I then went on to complete my Master's Degree in Multidisciplinary Education.

I have been married for 7 years to my wonderful husband Joe, and have two sons; Hunter is a sixth grader at Sumner Middle School and my youngest, Dayne is a first grader at Maple Lawn Elementary.  Both of my parents were in education.  My mother taught in the Highline district for 25+ years in second grade and my father was a principal here in Auburn.
