Rules for Scobee Week Paper Airplane Contest
Making
the Planes
• Planes must be constructed at school during the current Scobee Week.
• Planes must be made out of 1 sheet of 8 ½ by 11 inch white
copy paper. No colored paper or other type of paper may be used.
• Part of the paper may be ripped or torn off, but scissors may not
be used.
• Nothing can be added to the paper such as tape, glue, paper clips,
stickers, etc.
• Planes may be colored or decorated (but not with stickers –
see above).
• Students must make their own planes. Others can give them advice,
but they may not touch anyone else’s plane.
• Staff members must follow the same rules as the students.
Flying
the Planes
• Each classroom will have a contest to find the classroom winner
before the school-wide contest takes place.
• At the school-wide contest the winners from each class will compete
by grade level to find a grade level winner.
• After the grade level winners are found, they will compete to find
a primary and an intermediate winner.
• Staff members will compete after the students.
