DescriptionGildo Rey Elementary School has five main buildings which were built in 1969. It contains twenty-five classrooms, a large gymnasium, library, office, cafeteria, and staff area. The school has two portables which house the music and special services such as speech and occupational/physical therapy. The twenty-five classrooms are well designed and spacious. They provide ample room for our students to develop their social, emotional and academic needs. The library is also the home of a computer lab of twenty-five PCs with access to the Internet. Our school offers a variety of programs such as band, orchestra, vocal music and safety patrol. Gildo Rey has a proud tradition of Positive Action. It is a curriculum which provides a supportive format for children to learn and mature into proactive, productive individuals. We have an active PTA which sponsor a number of activities the benefit our students and staff. |
