Pioneer Elementary 2009-2010
Welcome to Pioneer and another wonderful year of learning for you and your family in our school community. I look forward to working with you this year in creating an educational partnership focused on successful learning for all students in a safe and caring environment. It will take all of us working together as a team as we strive to meet higher academic standards for all students and continuous school improvement for Pioneer. The staff and I will work hard to hold high expectations for our students and ourselves as we continue to follow our “School Improvement Plan’ (SIP). Our desire is to continue to foster the goal of academic excellence and equity, while keeping our students safe in a bully free environment.
All parents give many levels of support throughout the year that is extremely valuable to our educational program. Your participation in getting your child ready for school with proper materials, supplies and appropriate dress is greatly appreciated. Being well fed, happy and on time lays the foundation to a great start every day. Working closely with your child’s teacher throughout the year, attending open-house, conferences, and other family/school functions shows your child that you value education.
Volunteers are also needed to make our regular and special programs work.
Your time and energy, no matter how small or how large, will add an
invaluable richness to your child’s educational experience.
I also encourage you to join and support our PTA.
Our PTA does an excellent job of supporting Pioneer in a myriad of ways.
As the year progresses, ask for ways to participate in your child’s
education.
We are blessed at Pioneer with wonderful students and families who support them. As always, my office is open and look I forward to speaking with you throughout the school year.
