Winter Carnival a Warm Welcome The Termianl Park PTA under the leadership of Kristi Kludsikofsky and Donna Tesch held their first ever PTA Winter Carnival. With games from a giant Wheel of Fortune to a classic Cupcak Walk, participants in the carnival were treated to a wonderful family involvement opportunity. The co-chairs arranged for food and drinks to be sold during the evening as well. Families took a break from the inflatable obstacle course and fishing for prizes to enjoy Little Caesar's pizza, soda, popcorn, and sno-cones. It is estimated that bewteen 400 and 500 people came through the doors Friday night. Mrs. Kludsikofsky and Mrs. Tesch are very thankful for the generosity of the volunteers and teachers that opened their hearts with the generous donation of time.
Volunteers Make the Difference Anyone that attended the carnival on January 15 knows that the only way the evening succeeded was through the generosity of our volunteers. There were many parents and friends of families who stepped forward to help out. In addition to the Terminal Park Community, cheerleaders from Auburn Riverside High School, a varsity volleyball player from Auburn Mountainview, and Auburn High School students donated up to 3 hours of their own time to help insure that the carnival was a success. Once the event got rolling, parents who were attending with their children stepped forward to volunteer to help while their children played games. The evening concluded with a big round of applause for the chairpersons and the volunteers who made the evening possible. Our custodial staff especially appreciated the volunteers who stayed late to help put away all the games, chairs, and tables.
