It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new principal of Washington Elementary. For the past three years I have been the assistant principal at Auburn's Cascade Middle School and look forward to joining the Washington Family. Mr. Daniel has left big shoes to fill and we all wish him well as he opens the newest Auburn Elementary, Arthur Jacobsen.

As the principal, I am excited to work closely with you and our talented staff to provide all our students with the best educational experience possible. I value and will be actively seeking your input, comments and suggestions throughout the year. All of us at Washington recognize the importance of family involvement in our children's education and will make every effort to create opportunities for you to become involved.

Communication is critical to building a strong family. Throughout the year you will receive newsletters including office, PTA and classroom keeping you informed of programs and upcoming activities. Please check with our teachers and staff for volunteer opportunities.

I look forward to a great year as we work together on behalf of our greatest resource, our children. Please drop by the office and introduce yourself. My door is always open.
