Auburn School District's Speech and Debate Teams
Compete Successfully

Both Auburn High School and Auburn Riverside High School Speech and Debate teams competed very well at the Rogers High School Winter Classic held on Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14.   

The following Auburn High School students earned awards:

• Bryan Leonard, Third Place, Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate

• Tanya Horlick and Charles West, tied for First Place, Lincoln-Douglas Debate

• Alexis Barton and Jeff Cain, Third Place, Novice Policy Debate

• Daniela Tudor and Meghan Hughes, Second Place, Open Policy Debate

• Sally Garrison, Second Place, Open Dramatic Interpretation

• Tanner Vea, Third Place, Open Dramatic Interpretation

• Cammi Upton, Second Place, Open Humorous Interpretation, state seat

• Charles West, Third Place, Open Extemporaneous Speaking, state seat

• Kara Konomos, Second Place, Novice Expository Speaking and Novice Oratory

• Jeff Cain, Third Place, Novice Impromptu

The following Auburn Riverside High School students earned awards:

• Amanda Roll, Second Place, Open Division Expository, state seat

• Roshni Nelson, Finalist, Open Division Expository

• Stephanie Martin, Finalist, Open Division Dramatic Interpretation

• Brad Pederson and Jesse Willard, 1st Place, Open Division Dual Interpretation, state seat

• Rachel Hansen and Ashley Riney, Finalists, Open Division Dual Interpretation

• Chanel Pantages, Finalist, Novice Division Impromptu
