Attorney General Presents on Internet Safety
at Cascade Middle School

Washington State Attorney General, Christine Gregoire, will be talking to Auburn students about the potential of the Internet at her alma mater, Cascade Middle School, on Friday, January 30.

Cascade will be the final stop on a 21 community public education campaign that began in spring 2003.  The interactive presentation--entitled Safety Net--was developed in partnership with the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs and other law enforcement and Internet education entities.  The presentation highlights the personal information young people leave behind on the Internet that can lead to trouble.  The presentation is very interactive with the students and covers chat rooms, posting personally identifiable information, consumer scams targeting teens, and additional topics.

Ms. Gregoire attended Cascade Junior High School in seventh, eighth, and ninth grades and graduated from Auburn High School.
