Terminal Park Participates in Adopt-A-Family Program
for the 2nd Year in a Row

For the second year in a row, the students, staff, PTA, and community of Terminal Park Elementary participated in the Adopt-a-Family program. Mrs. Julie Gragg, the primary grades counselor, initiated this program last year to assist families of Terminal Park who were in need. Last year, the combined efforts served 12 Terminal Park families. Mrs. Gragg expanded the program this year with the generosity of the Absher Corporation, Seattle Children’s Home Society, and the Auburn Avenue Theater group. This year, 25 Terminal Park families received holiday assistance. The outpouring of generosity filled the counseling office at Terminal Park Elementary as well as two minivans. The Terminal Park PTA contributed funds to purchase meals for the holidays for 12 of the families. The Absher Corporation contributed gifts, gift-wrap, and Christmas trees to families. The Auburn Avenue Theater group contributed more than one thousand dollars in gifts, a Santa visit, and tickets to a performance of Miracle on 34th Street.
