Auburn School District Launches New Online Learning
Program
Auburn School District is now offering a new online educational program. Auburn Virtual High School will begin offering tuition-free online courses in February 2007 to home-school students and to students not currently enrolled in a public high school program. Students must be under the age of 21.
Informational meetings will be held to learn more about this opportunity on January 10 and January 17 from 5-6 p.m. in the commons at West Auburn High School, 401 Main Street.
Students enrolled in Auburn Virtual High School can earn high school credit without physically attending a school. Students who need computer access will be able to use the computer lab at West Auburn High School. Standards-based courses will be offered in math, science, language arts, social studies, world languages, fine arts and health. Advanced Placement courses will also be available.
