Bob Morgan Named New Head Football Coach at
Auburn Riverside High School
Bob Morgan has been selected to fill the duties of head football coach at Auburn Riverside High School. Mr. Morgan replaces Andrew Sage. Mr. Morgan is currently in his sixth year of teaching math and working as an assistant football coach at Auburn Riverside. In his first year on the football staff, Mr. Morgan coached special teams, and for the past five years he has acted as defensive coordinator. Mr. Morgan was recently named the 2006 3A SPSL assistant football coach of the year.
Mr. Morgan feels very fortunate to be offered the opportunity to become head football coach at Auburn Riverside High School. “The administration, staff, parents and community have been very supportive, and I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen these relationships. I have worked with this group of assistant coaches for six years and feel very lucky to inherit such a great core of coaches who love to teach and coach high school students,” remarks Mr. Morgan.
The Ravens won 7 out of 10 games last year, which is the beginning of a winning tradition, according to Mr. Morgan. “We look forward to giving these student-athletes opportunities to be part of a cohesive team or family that is supported and successful in academics as well as athletics. This coaching staff is dedicated to taking Raven Pride and Tradition to the next level.”
Mr. Morgan comes to Auburn School District from Issaquah High School, where for three years he taught math and coached football as the defensive coordinator. He received his master’s degree in Educational Technology from City University and a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics from Western Washington University. Mr. Morgan is a proud graduate of Issaquah High School. He is married to Jodine and has four children.
