Auburn Mountainview High School Awarded Emergency Drill Mini-Grant

Auburn Mountainview High School was awarded a $5,000 state mini-grant to implement two new emergency preparedness drills: an active shooter lockdown drill in the spring 2008 in conjunction with King County Sheriff and Auburn Police Department; and an earthquake drill in the fall 2008 in conjunction with search and rescue.

The grant will also be used to pay for staff training by the City of Auburn Emergency Preparedness Office, compensate staff for the training, and to purchase radios to be used in emergency planning.
