Olympic Middle School Awarded Muckleshoot Fund Grant

Jana Fullerton, librarian at Olympic Middle School, will be able to enhance Olympic’s Native American book collection, thanks to a $3,000 grant from the Muckleshoot Charity Fund.

Ms. Fullerton has already seen an increase in the number of Hispanic students visiting the library and checking out books since the school expanded its Spanish section two years ago. She hopes for a similar trend to occur with the Native American student population once there are more culturally relevant books.
